BIOPRO attracts funding for 128 million DKK

The cooperation within the BIOPRO partnership has led to so successful results that it has attracted additional funding for 128 million DKK. The purpose of the funding is to continue expanding and improving Denmark´s strong position within the biotechnological production.This will be done through the new Research Center, BIOPRO2, that continues the work of BIOPRO. The center will have a total budget of 128 million DKK and is created in a joint initiative by the Innovation Fund and Region Zealand.

The Danish newspaper Berlingske Business recently featured an article about the new research center and covers BIOPRO’s contribution to this development. Among the people being interviewed is the Danish Minister of Education and Research, ms. Sofie Carsten Nielsen and chairman of the board of the Region Zealand Counsil mr. Jens Stenbæk.
